Feel seen, supported, and empowered.

“Every single person I've interacted with at Poppins whether through text or 1:1 meetings has been so reassuring and encouraging during times of distress and frustration. I really love that no matter how I communicated with their team they send me a summary of the game plan and they follow up. I walk away feeling so empowered and more knowledgeable about what's going on rather than helpless and in survival mode. I really wish this existed when I had my first child but I'm really glad it exists now."

Frequently asked questions.

How does parent coaching work at Poppins?

Our parent coaching is tailored to your unique family situation. You'll start with an onboarding session where your dedicated coach takes the time to really get to know you and your family dynamics. We encourage co-parents to join these sessions. From there, you'll receive personalized action plans and regular follow-ups via text to ensure progress is happening and tweak when necessary. You can also add additional sessions when needed. Everything we do is one-on-one. No impersonal group sessions here.

What training and credentials do Poppins’ parent coaches have?

Our coaching team brings extensive professional experience to help parents shift from simply managing behaviors to creating lasting, values-driven family dynamics. Our coaches have backgrounds that include certified parent coaching credentials, formal education in child development, and specialized training in attachment theory and emotional regulation.

What truly sets our coaches apart is their ability to translate evidence-based approaches into practical, everyday strategies that work in real homes. They combine professional expertise with personal understanding, offering guidance that's both compassionate and effective. Our coaches are skilled at helping parents establish respectful relationships where every family member can thrive.

What ages and parenting stages does parent coaching support?

Poppins supports families with children from cradle to college, including:

  • Baby & Toddler Years: Sleep training, managing tantrums, developmental milestones
  • Preschool Years: Potty training, separation anxiety, establishing routines
  • Elementary School: Homework strategies, friendship dynamics, building independence
  • Middle School: Navigating independence, handling peer pressure, healthy friendships
  • High School: College preparation, dating discussions, managing academic pressure

We also address core parenting challenges like co-parenting strategies, household management, discipline approaches, and setting meaningful family goals.

What specific parenting challenges can the coaching help with?

Life throws a lot at parents. Our coaches can help with everything from daily routines and behavioral issues to communication breakdowns and major transitions. We're also closely integrated with the medical team, so if we notice something that might benefit from medical support, we can make that connection seamlessly for you. We're about addressing the whole picture of your family's wellbeing.

How accessible is the coaching?

We’ve designed our coaching to fit into your actual life—not the other way around. We start with a video chat to build that personal connection, and then shift to mostly text support. Parents are busy, so we meet you where you are, providing on-the-go support that works with your schedule, not against it.

Can parent coaching help with tantrums and meltdowns?

Yes. Parent coaching helps you understand what’s driving tantrums and meltdowns, and teaches practical strategies to respond calmly, reduce escalation, and prevent them over time.

How do I set boundaries with my child without yelling?

A parent coach helps you set clear, consistent boundaries using connection-based strategies that reduce power struggles and build cooperation — without yelling or guilt.

Can parent coaching help reduce daily stress and overwhelm?

Absolutely. Coaching focuses on simplifying routines, improving communication, and reducing decision fatigue so daily life feels more manageable.

Is parent coaching like therapy?

Parent coaching is not therapy. It’s practical, action-oriented support focused on parenting strategies, routines, and behavior — with clear next steps you can apply right away.

How quickly will I see changes with parent coaching?

Many parents notice small improvements within days. Sustainable change builds over time with consistent support, follow-up, and adjustments tailored to your family.
