At this time, Poppins does not bill insurance directly. However, our pricing is designed to be more affordable than traditional out-of-pocket urgent care or emergency visits — particularly for families who have not yet met their deductible. Yes. One of the biggest benefits of virtual pediatric care is helping families decide when an in-person visit is truly necessary. Our clinicians provide clear guidance on warning signs, escalation criteria, and next steps — so you’re not guessing on a weekend or rushing to the ER unnecessarily.

Poppins is often a faster and more affordable alternative to urgent care for many common pediatric concerns. Many Pennsylvania parents use Poppins as their first step when their child gets sick at night, on weekends, or when their pediatrician’s office is booked. If emergency care is needed, we will tell you immediately.
Virtual pediatric care uses detailed symptom history, parent observations, and secure photo, video, and audio sharing to help clinicians make accurate assessments. Many common pediatric conditions — including ear infections, rashes, pink eye, asthma flare guidance, and stomach viruses — can be safely evaluated through telehealth. If an in-person visit is necessary, we’ll clearly explain when and where to go.
