Why modern families love Poppins.

Our families love us because we fits into their real life — whether that means avoiding a long urgent care drive, getting answers during a weekend tournament, or handling a fever on a holiday from home. When local pediatric offices are booked out, they still have fast, reliable support right at their fingertips.

"I can't stop telling everyone how amazing Poppins is! Last week was one of the scariest I've had as a mom but they made it so much easier and were truly my lifeline! I'm so thankful!"
Parent to 3 & 5 yr olds
“My husband and I are absolutely in love with the service. It’s such a need for parents.”
Parent to 2 yr old & 11 mo old
“What stood out most wasn’t just how fast they replied — it was that they kept checking in. They made sure we understood the plan and that things were actually getting better.”
Parent to 6 mo old
“It’s so worth the cost compared to urgent care. We sent pictures of a rash, got a quick diagnosis, and didn’t end up paying hundreds of dollars just to be told everything was okay.”
Parent to 1 & 2 yr olds

Frequently asked questions.

Who is on my Poppins care team?

Your care team includes a dedicated parent coach who helps address your immediate challenges while creating a roadmap for your parenting goals, plus our medical team of pediatric nurse practitioners available during days, evenings, and weekends who can diagnose, treat, and prescribe medication if necessary. The medical team is led by Dr. Mona Amin, our Chief Medical Officer.

What credentials do Poppins’ pediatric clinicians have?

Our medical team is led by Dr. Mona Amin, our Chief Medical Officer and a practicing pediatrician and International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) since 2015 — and yes, she sees families on the platform too.

Our pediatric nurse practitioners hold advanced degrees including Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), with specialized certifications in pediatric care (CPNP-PC), family practice (FNP-C/FNP-BC), critical care (CCRN), and sleep specialization (CPSS). The team has trained at prestigious institutions including Duke University, Pace University, Villanova, Northeastern University, Franklin University, Seton Hall University, and University of Massachusetts.

Collectively, our providers bring over 130 years of pediatric healthcare experience from renowned hospitals and medical centers including Boston Children's Hospital, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Duke Children's Hospital, New York Presbyterian, NYU Langone Medical Center, Maimonides Medical Center, Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital, Seattle Children's Hospital, and various Pediatric Intensive Care Units.

Where is Poppins licensed to provide pediatric medical care?

We're excited to provide medical services in the states below:

  • Connecticut (CT)
  • Florida (FL)
  • Illinois (IL)
  • New Jersey (NJ)
  • New York (NY)
  • Pennsylvania (PA)
  • Texas (TX)

Even if you're outside our current medical service areas, you can still become a member of Poppins and access our parent coaching and sleep coaching services nationwide. We're continuously expanding our medical licensing to new states based on member demand, so we encourage you to contact us at hello@heypoppins.com to express interest in your area!

Does Poppins take insurance?

At this time we do not take insurance, but our pricing is designed to save you money compared to what you'd typically pay out-of-pocket — especially if your deductible hasn't been met:

  • Parent coaching sessions: $150 each
  • Urgent care visits: $200 each
  • Emergency room visits: $2,000 each
  • Plus your usual $30–$50 co-pays add up fast

With Poppins, there are no co-pays and no surprise bills — just straightforward pricing starting at $29/month for medical care and $99 for coaching packages. Many families find they save significantly compared to traditional care.

How is Poppins different from urgent care or telehealth apps?

Unlike one-off telehealth visits, Poppins offers ongoing care from a consistent team that knows your family, with fast access and follow-up across medical, behavioral, and sleep needs.

See Pediatric care at your fingertips for how texting, photos, and prescriptions work.

Is Poppins appropriate for emergencies?

No. While we provide prompt care for many conditions, we'll immediately direct you to the emergency room when that level of care is needed. Unsure if it's a medical emergency? We've got you covered. Our medical staff is trained to help you navigate to the appropriate level of care, ensuring your child always receives the right treatment at the right time.

How fast can I connect with a clinician?

Most families hear back within minutes. There’s no appointment scheduling — just start a message when you need help.

Can Poppins support both medical and parenting questions?

Yes. Poppins brings pediatric medical care, parent coaching, and sleep support together in one integrated plan, so families don’t have to juggle multiple providers or platforms.

Learn more in Behavioral and medical care, under one roof.

Can Poppins prescribe medication through telehealth?

Yes, we can prescribe medication when medically necessary. We also help navigate at-home remedies and over-the-counter medications to alleviate symptoms when a prescription isn't needed. We provide you with a comprehensive treatment plan and follow up to ensure the medication is working effectively for your child.

Is Poppins an urgent care replacement?

Poppins is often a faster and more affordable alternative to urgent care for many common pediatric concerns. Many Pennsylvania parents use Poppins as their first step when their child gets sick at night, on weekends, or when their pediatrician’s office is booked. If emergency care is needed, we will tell you immediately.

Quick answers, expert advice, total peace of mind.
