What is Poppins?
Poppins is a comprehensive service designed to reduce household stress for parents. We provide personalized parent coaching from the toddler years through the teen years, helping with challenges like tantrums, bedtime routines, social development, school situations, co-parenting coordination, and fostering independence. We also offer 24/7 medical support for times when the pediatrician's office is too far, too busy, or closed. Our medical team can provide guidance for over-the-counter solutions and prescribe medication when medically appropriate.
How does Poppins work?
Getting started is simple. After completing our onboarding questionnaire and payment, you'll meet with your parent coach for a 45-minute session. They'll get to know your family, understand your unique challenges, and create a personalized action plan to help you overcome current parenting hurdles.
Your ongoing support includes:
- Regular check-ins and reminders to keep you on track
- Text access to your parent coach for questions, updates, or problem-solving
- 24/7 medical support with responses within 15 minutes, including the ability to share photos, videos, or audio (like recordings of a cough) for accurate diagnosis
We've designed the experience to be both comprehensive and convenient, ensuring you have expert support whenever you need it.
Who's on my care team?
Your care team includes a dedicated parent coach who helps address your immediate challenges while creating a roadmap for your parenting goals. You'll also have access to our 24/7 medical team of nurse practitioners, supervised by Dr. Mona Amin and Dr. Saira Tariq.
What age ranges/developmental stages does the coaching cover?
Poppins supports families with children from cradle to college, including:
- Baby & Toddler Years: Sleep training, managing tantrums, developmental milestones
- Preschool Years: Potty training, separation anxiety, establishing routines
- Elementary School: Homework strategies, friendship dynamics, building independence
- Middle School: Navigating independence, handling peer pressure, healthy friendships
- High School: College preparation, dating discussions, managing academic pressure
We also address core parenting challenges like co-parenting strategies, household management, discipline approaches, and setting meaningful family goals.
What is the Friends and Family program?
The Friends and Family program connects our friends and family with some of the top Nurse Practitioners and Parent Coaches in their field. We're currently available in all 50 states for Parent Coaching. Pennsylvania has our full suite of services, which includes our medical offering. Texas, New Jersey, and Florida will be getting the full suite of services later this summer. You'll be among our first users, helping us learn and improve while you receive exceptional parenting support.
What does it cost?
Friends and Family is pay-what-you-want for a full year of service. Our most important goal is gathering learnings and feedback from folks we trust as we launch. While you paying something helps us cover costs and goes to our incredible staff, the amount is entirely up to you.
What's my commitment as a Friends and Family member?
You are parents, and we don't want to take up your time. We will send out surveys and ask if you want to participate in user testing. You can say no. We will be able to gain learnings in other ways, like improving our workflows, ensuring we have protocols for your specific conditions, and refining our overall experience based on how you use our services.
