Soak in warm water 10–15 minutes, 3–4 times daily. You can add Epsom salt (1–2 teaspoons per cup of water). Avoid very hot water.

Details: Apply topical antibiotic (like mupirocin or bacitracin) and keep area clean and dry. Use a loose bandage and avoid picking or biting.
