Frequently asked questions

How does Poppins help with newborns and babies?

Poppins is a comprehensive, text-based support service designed to help new parents navigate life with a newborn or baby. We provide 24/7 medical care with board-certified clinicians from top hospitals such as Duke, Boston Children's, Seattle Children's, CHOP, and NYU — so you can get instant help within 15 minutes for feeding concerns, rashes, fevers, and all those "is this normal?" questions. Our medical team can diagnose, treat, and prescribe if necessary, right from your phone.

We also pair you with a certified parent coach who provides personalized support for sleep routines, developmental milestones, co-parenting, and managing the overwhelm of new parenthood. You shouldn't have to figure out if an issue is medical or developmental, or bounce between the pediatrician and Google at 2 AM. We put it all under one roof.

Start where you need help most—medical support, parent coaching, or both.

How does Poppins work for new parents?

Getting started is simple. Click the Get Started button at the top of the page and pick your plan: Medical, Parent Coaching, or Comprehensive for the holistic approach. Once you're in, you get our private phone number to access your team.

If you have parent coaching, you'll schedule an onboarding session with your parent coach. They'll get to know your family and what's on your mind — whether it's sleep struggles, feeding concerns, going back to work, work-life balance, co-parenting, or just navigating the overwhelming adjustment to new parenthood.

Once you're set up, you'll get:

With Parent Coaching: Monthly 1:1 video sessions and unlimited text support with your dedicated coach for whatever's challenging you — from sleep and feeding to managing stress and finding your rhythm as a new parent.

With Medical: 24/7 medical support with responses within 15 minutes, including the ability to share photos, videos, or audio for accurate diagnosis.

With Comprehensive: All of the above.

We've designed the experience to be both comprehensive and convenient, ensuring you have expert support whenever you need it.

Who supports my family with a newborn?

Your comprehensive care team includes a dedicated certified parent coach who helps you navigate sleep routines, feeding challenges, developmental milestones, and the emotional adjustment to new parenthood, plus our 24/7 medical team of pediatric nurse practitioners who can diagnose, treat, and prescribe medication if necessary. The medical team is supervised by Dr. Mona Amin and Dr. Martin Maimon.

What does parent coaching look like for newborns and babies?

Our parent coaching is tailored to your unique family situation. You'll start with an onboarding session where your dedicated coach takes the time to really get to know you and your baby. We encourage co-parents to join these sessions. From there, you'll receive personalized guidance and regular support via text to help with sleep, routines, developmental questions, and managing the stress of new parenthood. You can also add additional sessions when needed. Everything we do is one-on-one. No impersonal group sessions here.
